"Chunkie" Singleton
Chunkie" Singleton died at the age of three in 1884 of scarlet fever. Her family was devastated and had this life-sized marble statue made dressed in a pinafore dress and bonnet, holding an umbrella with her epitaph saying, "Only God knows how we miss her."

The classic Greek lyre was used for the musical Smith family monument. Four generations of Smiths had led Smittie's Band in Cincinnati. The Smittie Band was the official Cincinnati Reds team band during the Crosley Field era. Between every Sunday doubleheaders the band would play behind second base. They also played at the inaugurations of three Ohio-born presidents: William McKinley, William Howard Taft and James Garfield. Henry Stanbery was the 29th U. S. Attorney General.

Alphonso Taft was the Patriarch of the Taft political dynasty, a lawyer, he was the first president of Cincinnati Bar Association, superior court judge in Ohio, he also served as a U.S. Minister, Secretary of War and Attorney General. Charles Phelps Taft II was President Taft's son, also an attorney he served on the Cincinnati council and as Mayor of Cincinnati. David Sinton's daughter, Anna, married Charles Phelps Taft (President Taft's brother) and gave them the house they lived in this house for 56 years and then gave it to the city of Cincinnati, it is now the Taft Museum. David also owned the Sinton Hotel and when he died he was the richest man in Cincinnati.
