PLAYERS POST 1950
There are a few cards where the player is seen wearing a uniform with a W on it. These cards show the player when he was playing for the Eastern League AA affiliate Waterbury Connecticut team. Waterbury was only affiliated with the Reds for 4 years (1980-83) which will give you an idea of when the photo was taken.

Thanks to Ron Martin we now know the story of Bill Bevens and why he is wearing a Reds uniform. Having made the club in 1952 he was sold to the San Francisco team in the Pacific Coast League before ever playing for the Reds. Hal Bevan only played 3 games for the Reds, all as a pinch hitter. He had one hit (HR).

Steve Bilko was one of my childhood heroes growing up in the San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles. In 1956 while playing for the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League he won the triple crown with 55 HR's, 360 BA, and 164 RBI's.
Joe Black was the first black pitcher to win a World Series game, in 1952.
