The 5 Bench covers above are First Day of Issue covers for the Legends of Baseball stamps. The 1st one is for the Roger Maris stamp, the other 4 are on the Mickey Cochrane stamp. The 2nd cover was issued by Grenada and also has a Grenada stamp.
This First Day Cover of the H-Rate (.33) Hat Stamp that was issued November 9, 1998 shows The Cincinnati Reds Johnny Bench. The 2nd cover above shows Bench on the the First Day of Issue for the Olympic Baseball stamp. The 3rd cover is issued on the day Bench was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The two covers above were issued on the day Pete got hit #4192 breaking Ty Cobb's all time hit record on September 11, 1985. The second cachet says 4193, did Rose get another hit that day?
The first item is a 8/23/74 first day cover of the Volunteer yourself imprinted stamp honoring Pete Rose. The cover was issued by the DeMolay Society because Pete was a member of this organization which helps young men in preparing for a successful, happy, and productive life. The next cover has Rose on the First Day of Issue for the H-Rate (.33) Hat Stamp. The next three covers are First Day of Issue for the Legends of Baseball's Ty Cobb stamp.

JIM THORPE FDC
Voted the greatest athlete in the first half of the 20th Century, Jim Thorpe is shown on this First Day Cover of a stamp honoring him in 1984. Pictured in the cachet on this cover is Thorpe in his Reds uniform. He played part of the 1917 season with the Reds, playing in 77 games with 4 homers and a 247 batting avg. He is in The College Football Hall of Fame, The Pro Football Hall of Fame, and The Track & Field Hall of Fame.
